Good Morning!

Thank you for your extraordinary leadership and teaching!

I have been taking classes for only two months, and in that very short time I am amazed (and very pleased!)  to discover that the classes have already:
(i) helped to improve my short-term memory recall and, (ii) helped me to overcome a life-long problem with IBS.  I started Dahn Yoga classwork to help to improve my flexibility and to get started with a regular exercise program - little did I know that the  program would help me in so many other ways (including losing weight).

Thank You Master Mihwa and, Thank you Dr. Ilchi Lee!

I came to the Dahn yoga center to find a healthy way to deal with stress.  Through my experience I found much more than I ever could have hoped for.  I love the physical benefits that I have gotten with toning and strengthening as well as improving my flexibility.  I have more energy and have learned how to tap into the energy source deep inside of me to give me the power to handle everything in my life.  The mind and spirit strengthening has given me an outlet to explore my soul and take a holistic approach to wellness.  There is no aspect of life that goes untouched through the practice of Dahn Yoga by Ilchi Lee.  If you give it 100% it will not disappoint you and will exceed your expectations.  The community I have found in my experience has brought a new level of joy into my life as well.  I know this is a path that I will be on for life and am thankful every day to have discovered it.

When I first came to the Leesburg Dahn Yoga Center I was experiencing high blood pressure, high cholesterol, a high glucose level and had become obese.  All of this was from the side effects of being treated with two rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and a mastectomy with reconstructive surgery.  I am happy to say that I am a five year breast cancer survivor.

I came to the Leesburg Dahn Yoga Center searching for a new path that would aid my body in healing.  I had tried Hatha yoga two years ago but my body was not ready at that time.  It was extremely difficult to not be able to do the things that I used to enjoy.  The only course of action I had was to rest my body and let it heal.  I began to seek alternative healing methods that utilized energy in healing the body.  I also began to eat and drink organic foods and beverages.  My doctor told me that I needed to change my lifestyle in order to become healthy and not suffer from heart disease.  I decided at that time that I did not survive cancer so that I would die from heart disease!

I have always sought a spiritual path and have read many books concerning spirituality, chakras, and different disciplines that utilize energy work for healing purposes.  Previously I had studied karate for five years and had worked my way up to a brown belt.  I loved the discipline and forms and longed to find a practice that would be similar but without physical contact.

Inside, I knew it was time to seek a practice that would help me physically and spiritually.  Yoga seemed like a viable alternative.  One day while I was window shopping, I came across a Dahn Yoga flier.  Perfect, I thought!  I immediately called and set up an appointment to have an energy check up.  To my amazement the Master found the areas of my body that I was experiencing difficulty with.  The acupuncturist, chiropractor and medical doctors did not find the areas that were bothering me, but this Master did.  I was sold.  It was recommended that I attend class three times a week and I was given homework which included Dahn-jon tapping and intestine exercises, Ilchi Lee.

I have been practicing Dahn yoga for ten months now and have attended many workshops and classes.  The healing my body has experienced during this time has been remarkable.  My glucose level is back to normal and my blood pressure has come done significantly.  In fact my doctor is talking about taking me off my medicine in the near future!  My cholesterol level has lowered but still needs to go down a little more.  Oh, and I no longer suffer from insomnia!  My flexibility has increased and I can almost stretch like I did before my surgery.

Dahn yoga has become a way of life for me and I can’t wait to attend healer school in October.  Until then I have a lot more training to continue to do so that I can loose weight and gain an increased energy level.  I am confident that I will return to a healthy and fit body through Dahn yoga.

Nearly two years of practicing Dahn Yoga and training in how to guide others in doing it have significantly changed my life for the better.  My weak, tired, stressed-out physical condition of a 62 years-old man has improved to give me more strength and energy, and to eliminate serious health problems (with digestion, legs, skin, etc.). My mental state has become one of greater clarity, creativity and calmness, in contrast to my former overly stressed mind. As for my purpose and meaning of my life, I now have a more passionate and fulfilling vision of who I am (my true self) and what I want to do to contribute to a healthier, happier, and more peaceful world.  ~ Larry Rosenberg (Chun Eum)

I have been taking Dahn Yoga by Ilchi Lee for 7 months. I experience a sense of surrender but also understanding, caring, and love. I suffer from depression and panic attacks. I am calmer, happy, and not having panic attacks at all. I am learning to look deep inside myself and understand negative thinking. I help myself by mirroring myself on every member. I am less fearful. I learn from the members to be caring and let go of my controlling issues. Thank you to Kim Nim for giving me the opportunity to grow and to all the members that give me the opportunity to share and grow with them.  ~ Digma Santiago-Stockelman

Beginning Dahn practice was a turning point in my life. I began a journey to understand myself and see my emotional and physical habits with clarity. The struggle is ongoing, but I know that I am growing and am grateful.  ~ Jenny Koh

This year I took Dahn Instructors training. It has been a great learning experience. I have learned so much from the classes over the last 3 years that I wanted to begin sharing with others. I have learned that my body and my mind are not me but mine. And I have the ability to observe these parts of myself and choose being in charge. The me that is the Observer is the true me, and my body and mind are vehicles to use as I go through my life. Words cannot express my gratitude fro the groundedness I experience and much more!  Thank you Dahn Center!  ~ Lou Ann Bruck

I started Dahn Yoga 2-½ years ago, with the idea that I would become more flexible and learn more about the energy in my body. I have found so much more, I have found a home with endless love, understanding and the encouragement to grow. I have found a community that cares about the world and humanity. I am eternally grateful that I found Dahn Yoga.  ~ Deborah L. Zamora-Soon

In my Dahn training, I have grown physically and mentally. Each time I find I am resisting growth, is the time I need it. The deeper I go, the deeper my inner peace grows, and the more I am able to give to those in my family, class, at work, and people I just pass on the street.  ~ Sue Carmichael

Several years ago I was diagnosed with a degenerated disk, which required treatment; first, physical therapy; followed by back surgery, if the pain and symptoms persisted. The addition to the back pain, I was overworked, stressed by my work. Dahn Yoga lowered my blood pressure, allowed me to gain control over my back pain and eliminated the need to surgery or pain medication.  ~ Mark Bandit

Thanks to Dahn Yoga now I know where my energy goes and how I can use it to make my life better. Many medical and emotional problems now truly have a possibility to get resolved.  ~ Marcela Bandit

Dahn Training gives me the motivation to take charge of my life, body, and mind.  Now I can heal myself through positive action and help others! It feels so good!  ~ Jessica Balmily

I have been doing Dahn Yoga for 1-½ years and have received tremendous benefits. I now have a better understanding of the energy system in my body; a new appreciation of my ability to heal myself and others; and a deeper commitment to helping people, particularly children, live healthier and happier lives in harmony with Planet Earth.

I joined Dahn Yoga Center at Palatine in May, 2006, after completing an intensive Internship program for almost 2 years as a therapist at Alexian Mental Health Center at Arlington Heights, Illinois.  When I graduated, I had all kinds of arthritic problems all over my back, fingers, legs, and had put on some weight.  Since I was recently divorced, I was also completely stressed out, and taking pain killers and anti-depressions each day, in order to do the best job for my patients.  Moreover, being just divorced in the USA, I was blamed for many untruth things, since divorce is never accepted in both of our families in India.  I was in the worst shape physically, emotionally and spiritually.  I felt that I was all alone in this world.  But I had to put on a strong face for my patients and professors.

After being with the Dahn Center, I noticed that I had more or less stopped taking all kinds of medicines,  I was also slowly beginning to be flexible.  A few months later with the Dahn Center, I noticed that I did not require any medicines for my problems.  Wow!! I was very surprised.  I was also saving money from my prescription, since the insurance does not cover anti-depressant.

These positive results were due to all the techniques learned from the Meridian Stretching, Tapping, Rotation, Jung Chun Breathing, and Meditation.  I was also getting lots of help from all my wonderful Masters from our many Centers.  They were always helping me to grow, in order to become a wonderful human beings as I was meant to be as a person.  I am very thankful for having them in my life.  They are my family, since my families are so scattered and so far away from here.  I am very glad to have them in my life.  These masters are wonderful people, who are dedicated for the betterment of us, the human.  Their love, care and dedication, have made me grow more stronger each day, even though I am getting chronologically old.  From my various training and meetings, my Masters have shown me that I have my wonderful and pure soul - a true self,  which was hidden from me for a very long time! .

During my various training at Sedona last year, my swollen and arthritic fingers got healed after many years.  I was extremely excited about it.  All my masters call me “Healer Nim” with so much love, respect, affection and warmth, Sometimes, I cry how they care and love me so much.  I wonder where they were all these years, when I needed them.  I am glad they are here for me.  I don’t know how I could live without them.  I am sure they will teach me this too.  I will love them till the day I die.  All I can say is that due to some Karma, they came into my life to help me, and I am very grateful and thankful to them.  Of course, I give them hard times at times, but they love me nonetheless.  God could not be everywhere, that is why, I have my new family, my wonderful Masters.  Thank you very much Ilchi Lee.

On November 6, 2003, I visited the Dahn Yoga Center in Schaumburg out of curiosity to check my balance and flexibility.  Other than allergies and minor aches and pains, I had no major health problems.

At the introductory session, I learned about my digestive condition.  The Dahn Master pointed out my imbalance just from looking at my feet.  I was drawn into the mind-body-spirit connection.  I wanted to learn to meditate.

What followed was a series of private lessons to familiarize with meridian exercises and healing sessions.  I attended Initial Awakening, a special training focused on the physical body, and soon after, the Shim Sung training to discover my true self, the essential unchanging part of me.  No words could adequately describe these wonderful trainings.  they just had to be experienced.

At the regular classes, I was increasing my physical and mental capacity and I felt not only my own energy but also the energy of others around me.

When my Master suggested attending Healer School, I did so thinking that whatever I learned there I could always apply at my private medical practice as a physician.  However, at the training, I also learned that in order to heal others, I needed to heal myself first: physically, emotionally and spiritually.  There I became aware that the purpose of Dahn Hak was for world peace and in order to attain it, peace had to begin with me.  The answer to conflict is love.

We all have our own spiritual journeys.  For my own journey to seek truth and meaning for my life, I took several other trainings such as: Healing Chakra, Tao Fellowship lectures, Chicago Meditation Tour, Power Brain Method, Three Gates Training, Dahn Ho, Myungsa training, and Chun Myung training.

For who I have become, I am deeply grateful to Grand Master Ilchi Lee and all the Masters, for their love and caring and for all the well planned and well organized experiential learning.

In alignment with Ilchi Lee’s vision, I intend to have a more fulfilling life through brain education, to achieve the brain’s potential for greater health, happiness and peace.
