On November 6, 2003, I visited the Dahn Yoga Center in Schaumburg out of curiosity to check my balance and flexibility. Other than allergies and minor aches and pains, I had no major health problems.
At the introductory session, I learned about my digestive condition. The Dahn Master pointed out my imbalance just from looking at my feet. I was drawn into the mind-body-spirit connection. I wanted to learn to meditate.
What followed was a series of private lessons to familiarize with meridian exercises and healing sessions. I attended Initial Awakening, a special training focused on the physical body, and soon after, the Shim Sung training to discover my true self, the essential unchanging part of me. No words could adequately describe these wonderful trainings. they just had to be experienced.
At the regular classes, I was increasing my physical and mental capacity and I felt not only my own energy but also the energy of others around me.
When my Master suggested attending Healer School, I did so thinking that whatever I learned there I could always apply at my private medical practice as a physician. However, at the training, I also learned that in order to heal others, I needed to heal myself first: physically, emotionally and spiritually. There I became aware that the purpose of Dahn Hak was for world peace and in order to attain it, peace had to begin with me. The answer to conflict is love.
We all have our own spiritual journeys. For my own journey to seek truth and meaning for my life, I took several other trainings such as: Healing Chakra, Tao Fellowship lectures, Chicago Meditation Tour, Power Brain Method, Three Gates Training, Dahn Ho, Myungsa training, and Chun Myung training.
For who I have become, I am deeply grateful to Grand Master Ilchi Lee and all the Masters, for their love and caring and for all the well planned and well organized experiential learning.
In alignment with Ilchi Lee’s vision, I intend to have a more fulfilling life through brain education, to achieve the brain’s potential for greater health, happiness and peace.
