One can gain perspective on life in India
Friday, June 24th, 2011Ilchi Lee has said that "when we lose sincerity, we become lazy and discontented." In the busy world that we live in, sometimes we lose sight of the important things in life as we strive for success. In the corporate world, the desire for wealth and power can occasionally displace compassion and care for others. In order to restore balance and harmony in one's life and avoid becoming a lazy and unhappy person, it may help to give back to others and restore priorities.
A great place to volunteer is in the slums of India. Palampur in particular has a very poor population and embraces the efforts of helpful individuals in its orphanages. There are many programs that one can get involved with that will coordinate their efforts and find them a place to become involved.
Another fantastic thing about Palampur, aside from the incredible opportunities to make a lasting change in some one's life, is that it is very peaceful. There are many temples and parks in this city where individuals can walk and meditate. One may find that they have experienced spiritual healing after spending time in India.
